Description
Thymosin alpha-1 is a 28-residue peptide first purified from thymus tissue. Immunology research looks at how it shapes T-cell maturation, dendritic-cell activity and innate immune signaling. Several countries outside the US have approved it as a medicine.
Supplied by LiliPeptide in boxes of 10 vials, priced per box. The strength shown is the amount in each vial.
Research notes
Toll-like receptors and T-cell priming
Immunology research describes thymosin alpha-1 as an agonist of the toll-like receptors TLR2 and TLR9. It promotes dendritic-cell activation and Th1 differentiation, strengthening T-cell-dependent responses in infection and cancer models rather than stimulating the immune system across the board.
Approvals outside the US
As thymalfasin, it is approved in more than 30 countries, for uses including chronic hepatitis B and as a vaccine adjunct. That gives it an unusually large human safety record for a research peptide, although it is not FDA-approved.
For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
