Description
AHK-Cu is the copper complex of alanyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, a close relative of GHK-Cu that differs only in its first amino acid. Dermatology and hair-follicle research studies it for effects on dermal papilla cells, angiogenic signaling and the production of extracellular matrix.
Supplied by LiliPeptide in boxes of 10 vials, priced per box. The strength shown is the amount in each vial.
Research notes
Dermal papilla cells and the hair cycle
Cell-culture studies report that AHK-Cu increased the growth of human dermal papilla cells and raised VEGF and other growth factors linked to the growth (anagen) phase of the hair cycle. The effects depended on copper: the peptide on its own did not reproduce them.
Matrix remodeling compared with GHK-Cu
Studies comparing copper tripeptides describe increased collagen and elastin production in fibroblast models, with copper serving as a cofactor for lysyl oxidase. AHK-Cu has a much smaller published record than GHK-Cu on these measures.
